Ready for your photo challenge?!

PHOTO TASK #1 – Pose with the gang outside of your newly decorated caravan. Do a TRY IT with the Grape Stomp Prop. Make sure everyone has a barrel of grapes to stomp their frustrations out in. On the count of ‘3 everyone does the ‘JIG emote and the photographer captures the moment.

PHOTO TASK #2 – Sit down at the Cracked Game table next to your caravan. Start a round of Cracked. You can play the round if you have enough time or just let the timer run out so the little chick cracks open under pressure. Take a group photo with the cracked egg at the game table AND snap a picture of the avatar holding the little chickadee. Make sure to get his cute little face in the picture.

PHOTO TASK #3 – Make friends with the horses. The cool kids are encouraged to wear western outfits and cowboy hats. Find the best acrobat in your troupe and have them perform a ‘HANDSTAND on top of a horse. At the same time your star tumbler is upside down, the rest of your crew emotes the ‘GIDDYUP dance move. Pics or it didn’t happen!

PHOTO TASK #4 – Word on the street from the neighboring Aurora Gulch community is that there is a wild stampede of bison roaring through populated parts of the Aurora Highway. Travelers passing through camp yesterday said their donkey got spooked from the thundering sound of the bison stampede. The poor donkey ran off hee-haw’ing down the highway with three days worth of food and their last roll of toilet paper. Tell your regulators to mount up, because it’s time to let those ranching and rodeo skills shine! Capture a photo of your posse riding a stampede of bison through the middle of the caravan camp. There are several herds out roaming the Neighborhood.

Drop your own stampede of bison or have your crew ride the herds of bison that are already out on stampede in the Neighborhood.

PHOTO TASK #5 – The Aurora Highway Rest Stop bathrooms have been rated 5 stars by the Thereian Transportation Agency for the past decade. Aurora caravans and travelers can count on the rest area being clean and well stocked with the “good kind” of toilet paper. The Aurora Parks and Rec Department have been able to maintain bathroom supplies for the busy rest stop location despite mass hysteria toilet paper shortages reported on the Islands of Caldera, Kansas and Nada. This last photo challenge requires your crew to steal all of the toilet paper out of the rest stop bathrooms. Yes, you get a roll of TP and you get a roll of TP and YOU get a roll of TP! EVERYBODY GETS A ROLL OF TP! To commemorate your crew’s shenanigans, cram as many of your friends as you can into the two outhouses at the Aurora Highway Caravan Events Lot. Hold your roll of stolen  toilet paper (use the Try It option) and snap a picture of the crew throwing up a ‘HOLE emote sign. Made you look! ‘rofl

Posting Photo Tasks to Social Media

Do you have a knack for interior design and outdoor landscaping? Take the Caravan Challenge during the springtime Caravan event happening in the Virtual World There.com. You can register your avatar as a competitor. Participant availability is first-come, first-serve due to limited spacing.

Only 10 participants will be able to compete per scheduled event. There are three weekly events planned to accommodate up to a total of 30 Thereians interested in participating in the Caravan Challenge. The first 30 members to register will be added to the roster in the order the applications are received. Registration will remain open until the 30 spots are filled. Enter the challenge by filling out the REGISTRATION FORM. You will receive a confirmation email from the Event Host with the time and day of the scheduled event you have been assigned to compete in.

This friendly competition is a solo decorating challenge AND a photo challenge with friends. Registered participants must have a Premium Membership Account. It does not cost the participant anything to enter the Caravan Challenge and it is a free activity for Silent and Basic Trial friends to attend so that they can help you with the photo challenge portion of the event. You’ll need to have a Facebook account in order to take part in the photo challenge. All registered participants will receive a Cozy Campfire 12-Seater upon successfully completing all of the Caravan Challenge tasks. At the end of the event, all 10 challengers will participate in a dice roll to win one of the caravans on display in the Aurora Highway Rest Stop Neighborhood.

There_Pyrena_Zosime_2020-03-26 09-34-28

To participate, you’ll need 10 decorative house and garden virtual items from your inventory. You can decorate with items you already have or purchase new items to use for the event. You will be responsible for the cost of all virtual goods used in the competition. The decorative items belong to you and can be picked up after the event. You can choose to decorate the caravan’s interior, outside yard or both. Stick with the theme. No giant pickles or brown piles. ‘Doh

The Caravan Challenge competition and awards ceremony will span two hours. It will be split into three back to back events. You must be able to commit to participating online in the event for 120-minutes. The first 30-minute event will be invite-only for the 10 competitors. During this time the Event Host and Co-Host will go over what’s to be expected of you during the competition. You will be assigned a caravan to decorate in a Neighborhood Lot. During set-up, you will schedule an event in your Lot that will allow you decorating privileges. Send your friends an event invitation to stop by and cheer you on during the decorating part of the competition. You’ll need their help for the photo challenge portion of the event. After the 30-minute set-up event ends, the hour-long scheduled Caravan Challenge will begin. You will have 20 minutes to decorate your caravan with 10 virtual items. You will have 40 minutes to complete the photo challenge with friends. If you finish decorating before the 20 minutes is up, you can get a head start on the photo portion of the competition. You’ll need three or more buddies to help with the photo part of the challenge. The more the merrier – invite all of your Buddies.

Your friends can play a game of Cracked or relax by the campfire and watch you do all of the heavy lifting during the decorating portion of the challenge. As soon as you are done decorating, round up your posse to assist you with the five photo tasks needed to complete the second part of the Caravan Challenge. Keep in mind trying to take group photos is sometimes like herding cats, so do your best to capture the silly side of everyone.

The Summer There Games start this week! Save the date for August 9th-17th. The Opening Ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, August 8th at 7:00 PM PDT.  Want to know more about Summer There Games? Check out our handy There Games FAQs.

I’ve been hearing a lot about Summer There Games.  What is it?

Summer There Games is a huge 9-day event series in There that runs in the later part of summer.  Everyone is invited to play in this fun and friendly competition.  Events happen at all hours of the day and range from vehicle races to card games to quests and so much more!  No matter what your interest, you’re likely to find activities to enjoy.

In a nutshell, members compete at There Games to earn points for their team.  At the end, all the points are counted up and the team with the highest overall score wins the gold medal.  (The 2nd and 3rd place teams take the silver and bronze awards respectively.)

How can I join a team for There Games?

Congratulations, you are already part of a team!  We have 16 There Games teams based on the 16 avatar Nametag colors.  (The Nametag is the colored bar over your avatar’s head where your see your name.)  Everyone has a Nametag color that is randomly generated when you join There.

What if I can’t figure out what my Nametag color is?

If you aren’t sure what your Nametag color is, it’s easy to find out.  Just head over to to the Summer Games Welcome Center and find one of the handy Nametag signs.

When you click the sign’s action tag, it will tell you what color your Nametag is.  Once you know your Nametag color find your team club listed here.  Joining your team’s club is a great way to meet people, make new friends and keep up to date with what’s going on.

Do I have to join my Nametag team’s club to participate at There Games?

No. While joining your team’s club is a great way to connect with your fellow teammates, it is not required.  You can still go to There Games events and earn points for your team.  The event Hosts will be able to see which team you belong to by (you guessed it!) looking at your Nametag.

How do I sign up for an event?

It’s very easy to participate in Summer There Games. Search the keyword “TSG” on the Activities Page to see a handy list of all the TSG events. There are lots of events to choose from! Take a look and start signing up for the things that interest you. Whether you love the thrill of competition or prefer something more low key, you will find plenty of fun activities.

Some event descriptions state that points are given and others do not.  What’s the difference?

Some There Games events are competitive and award points to the teams based on who comes in 1st, 2nd, etc.  Other events are purely social for people who don’t want to compete but still want to participate in the Games. Event descriptions are marked accordingly to help you decide which events are right for you.

When you attend an event that awards points, the goal is to try to earn points for your Nametag team. At the end of There Games, all the points are counted up and the team with the highest overall score wins the gold medal.

How do I attend a There Games event after I’ve signed up?

When you sign up for an event, it will be added to your schedule.  To see a handy list of the events you have signed up for, go to the Activities Page and click the “My Upcoming Events” link.

If you are in world and sign up for an event that has already started, you’ll get a system message offering to take you there now.  Otherwise, you’ll get the message when the event begins.  If you accept, you’ll be teleported directly to the Zone where the event is happening.

What should I do when I arrive at a There Games event?

When you arrive at a There Games event and enter the Zone, the first thing you should do is look for a rule book.  Be sure to read this so you are familiar with the rules of the event.  If there is a Zone box in use, also keep an eye on this in case additional instructions are being given.  Become familiar with how the event is scored and what you should strive to do in order to win a point for your Nametag team.

For a fun team-building activity, you might want to start a group IM with other members of your Nametag team who are also participating in the event

I tried to go to my There Games event but got a message that the event is currently full.  What should I do?

If the event is currently full and you are unable to enter the Zone, wait for a system message to tell you when it’s your turn before you attempt to enter again. Trying to enter before it’s your turn will result in you being teleported back out of the Zone and moved to the bottom of the waiting list for the event. This will also create extra lag in the event and affect the Zone box, making it difficult for the Host(s) to properly communicate with the members inside.

Any other tips for attending a There Games event?

  1. Do not go AFK (away from keyboard) in a competitive, points-awarding event. If something comes up, please step out of the Zone and free up a space for someone who is actively waiting to compete for their team.
  2. Please have patience with the event Hosts. There Games events can be very hectic with a lot of specific instructions to follow for the event to run smoothly.  Keep yourself well informed by reading the rules and knowing who the Host(s) are in case you have questions.

How does scoring work at events?

Each event is unique in the way it is scored.  When you attend a There Games event, it’s very important to read the rules and listen to instructions given by the Host(s) at the beginning of the event.  This will give you an understanding of how you can compete and possibly earn points for your team.

I see lots of people running around with team-colored items.  Where can I find this stuff?

If you want some gear to show your team spirit, be sure to check out our There Games Shop.  Many designers have also created team gear that you can find for sale in the Auctions.

Can I find out how my team is doing during There Games?

If you would like to keep track of how the Games are going, you can check out the official There Scoreboard at http://www.therescore.com.

Point totals update automatically each time a Host enters the results from his or her event into the database.  Another handy feature on this page is the ability to see a list of the activities scheduled each day by simply clicking the links for Day 1, Day 2, etc.

What are you waiting for?! Schedule out your There Games plan now. Sign up to participate in your favorite events and we will see you at the Games!

Faith Town BABS Outpost also known as Motu Motu Airways is 2,000 meters high over the zone! You’ll need to teleport to the very top to reach it. The Faith Town BABS Outpost is owned by Circut_Rider and Dove_Renee.

As part of this weekend’s celebrations, there is a special quest out till Sunday night. Finish the quest for an additional entry and do the bonus question for an EXTRA entry.

You can also participate in the BABS photo contest. Take a picture of your avatar at the Faith Town BABS Outpost. Make sure to relay a message about the Outpost or the owners in a chat bubble for your photo. Send the photo to babs@babscommunity.com with the subject: FAITH BAY TOWN. Your entry will get you into the drawing and if you WIN, you’ll get an extra entry. Be creative in your photo and your message!

The third way to enter the BABS December drawing is to play a special edition of Bingo Maniacs this Saturday on December 29th. Win a round for an extra entry.

The Outpost of the Month will have a few giveaways during the next floatilla. Sign up for the BABS New Year’s Eve hoverboat event.

The BABS Monthly Drawing is held the first Monday night floatilla of each month. You do not have to be present to win. In January, BABS will be giving away the first-ever Sojka Reaper BABS 2 Hoverboat designed to match the BABS towers. There will only ever be 20 of these beauties in There.com.

Happy New Year from the BABS Outpost Community!

How can I join a team for the There Winter Games?

Congratulations, you are already part of a team!  We have 16 There Games teams based on the 16 avatar Name Tag colors.  (The Name Tag is the colored bar over your avatar’s head where your see your name.)  Everyone has a Name Tag color that is randomly generated when you join There.com.

What if I can’t figure out what my Nametag color is?

If you aren’t sure what your Name Tag color is, it’s easy to find out.  Just head over to to the Winter Games Welcome Center and find one of the handy Name Tag signs.

When you click the sign’s action tag, it will tell you what color your Name Tag is.  Once you know your Name Tag color find your team club listed here.  Joining your team’s club is a great way to meet people, make new friends and keep up to date with what’s going on.

Do I have to join my Nametag team’s club to participate at There Games?

While joining your team’s club is a great way to connect with your fellow teammates, it is not required.  You can still go to There Games events and earn points for your team.  The event Hosts will be able to see which team you belong to by (you guessed it!) looking at your Name Tag.
